Brody's eyes danced over Victoria's darkened ones with amusement as her sarcasm rang lightly in his ears. At her words, he arched an eyebrow and heaved a mock sigh of disappointment, shaking his head in apparent sorrow, before shooting her a dark smirk, saying nothing more on the matter. At Lloyd's small speech, he clutched at his heart, and let out a cry as if wounded, to the appreciative smirks of his Slytherin peers, after which he sank back into his chair, tapping impatiently on the desk with his quill.
The professor seemed to be glancing between him and Victoria a lot, and he glanced around, catching Victoria's eye and allowing his own to glint with amusement at the idea she was suggesting. After dragging his own away, he found yet another student addressing him, and scratched his chin absent mindedly whilst glancing boredly at the Gryffindor. His look wasn't too harsh, though it was intense, as he eyed the girl up and down, arched an eyebrow and glanced away to Audrey's paper, seeing now that she'd written him two messages and letting out a small chuckle as his eyes fell upon it. Picking his quill up again, he wrote a cursive reply, keeping his eyes fixed on the professor.
If you truly feel the need to commit a murder before this is over, kindly allow me to have your dear aunt. He paused, allowing her to read the message, before continuing, eyes roaming over the class as the Gryffindor finished, and coming to rest on the professor again, expression losing the slight smirk as she mentioned their next plan of action. What can I say? They're only human. He shot her a smirk to show he was joking, before stiffening slightly as she latched onto him, and standing to stagger backwards, avoiding toppling the both of them over as his hands made their way around her waist to stop her falling.
'Hello there,' he muttered, eyes glinting as he stared down at her, and looked up to wink at the professor. 'What a delightful idea, Miss Leigh,' he smirked, before glancing down at Audrey, and noting how her wand had been distorted by her grip. 'Sure you don't want to hug Lloyd?' he teased lightly.

Rosaline listened to the professors pairings with a slight frown. Thinking to herself Those pairings will never do. She glanced back at Lloyd, trying to read his face. The things she'd heard of late... she didn't even have it in her to be rude to him anymore. Though she often was. Her eyes then danced to Corie, wanting to see her reaction. She was in a few classes with Corie and knew that the girl was shy. She shook her head once more, glancing finally at Brody. She knew nothing of the Armsworth boy but knew that the Puff and him wouldn't hug at all. At least, not without the Puff getting cursed through a wall.
Then, Professor Leigh told everyone they could choose their own partner. Rosaline smiled smugly, knowing that would work better. Still, she had other plans. "Changing is a nice idea, Professor." she said with a nod. "But, since we Gryffindors pride ourselves on bravery, I think I'll stick to your choice for me." With that, she stood up and latched herself onto Victoria. It was only for a couple seconds, but she was sure it was long enough to make the girl want to hex her through a wall.

The Gryffindor girl had a deathwish, obviously, as Victoria stood and turned, immeadiately finding herself in an embrace with the redhead. Her eyes widened a bit, surprised at the girl's forwardness, but soon she quickly snaked her arms around the other girl, leaning in close, her lips inches away from Rosaline's ear. Her right first finger pressed into the nape of the girl's neck, at the very top of her spine, her nail digging into the flesh. A few people knew that Victoria had the ability of Wandless Magic, and Rosaline was going to be one of the ones who were going to find out the hard way. Then again, anything Victoria wanted to do to the girl would land her in Azkaban, so better to only scare her. Her voice was a low snarl, inaudible by everyone around her.
"Avada Kedav-" She stopped mid word, a smirk forming on her lips, before she pushed the girl away with a shake of her head, a smug look on her face. "Sorry, Rosaline. You're just not my type." She stated, before taking her seat once again.

Audrey was glad Brody had at least some sense of direction and had kept them from both falling face first onto the floor. She couldn't help the laugh that followed at Brody's compliment to the teacher and smiled up at him in knowing amusement, that was, until he mentioned Lloyd. If Audrey knew the boy at all, and she did, he would choose not to take part in Leigh's little activity. Audrey frowned for a second, wondering if the teacher would actually do something about that or simply kick him out of class. Either way it went, it wasn't a nice scenario for Lloyd's grade, or family.
Audrey thought on it for a second, pulling herself off of Brody with a smile and quick thank you. She wasn't quite sure why she was about to do it, nor did she really care. The back of her mind was screaming 'sit down you silly little girl', but it was her heart that had her convinced, 'its a chance to hold him one last time.' She had her own self convinced it would be so horrible, but that was all mind games. Audrey loved Lloyd, and though she would rather fail all of her classes than admit that to anyone right now, she knew it in her heart to be true, would always be true.
Before she knew what was happening she had already ran to the back of the classroom to where he had been sitting and threw her arms around him, holding him as though letting go meant her life. How she ended up in his lap with her lips against his was another story completely. She wouldn't have known if she had forced herself on him or if he had placed her there, feeling the same. How he would react was beyond her. She didn't really care what Caroline Leigh would say, right then, it didn't matter to her. Nothing else did.

The entire time the 'hugging session' was going on, Lloyd remained in his seat, scratching his initials into the desk in front of him with his quill. It seemed a juvenile thing to do, yet it kept him entertained. And he knew that Professor Caroline Leigh- of all people- wouldn't care much if she caught him anyway. At least, he figured she wouldn't. Even if she did, he didn't much mind the idea of being sentenced to detention. There were worse teachers he could serve detention with. Like... Jonathan. Or Professor Caedmon. He had no intentions of participating in the hugging session and frowned at the mere idea. What kind of class was this? It was beginning to seem like Caroline thought she had a class full of toddlers.
Lloyd heard his name mentioned, falling from Brody's mouth- and his dark eyes caught the other Slytherin boy for a moment, daring to meet Brody's eyes with his. They weren't filled with anger, however- they were more or less filled with pleading. He and Audrey hadn't talked in... Merlin knew how long and he wasn't sure that would be changing any time soon. Of course... he didn't hate her. Yet, he wasn't sure how she felt after the wedding. After everything, actually. He couldn't blame her if she never wanted to see him again. Of course, he knew he had never done what he was accused of doing... and he hoped that she did, too. But, after everything that happened, there was an awkward air between them.
And then, he saw her approaching him. And, though he knew it was stupid for his heart to be racing, it was and he couldn't've stopped it if he wanted to. Though he hadn't openly admitted it since the break up (if one could call it that), Lloyd did still love Audrey. Not once did he stop loving her. That was why he fought Drake in the dungeon. That was why he nearly had a break down in front of Brody in the Room of Requirement. So, when she threw her arms around him, he didn't hesitate to throw his around her. He didn't care that they were in class- he didn't want to let go. He wouldn't let go. He, also, didn't know how she ended up on his lap. Nor how their lips ended up pressed together. And he didn't stop it. He pulled away just long enough to mutter "I still love you." not caring who heard it and what they thought, before he pressed his lips to hers once more. If they got a detention together, he wouldn't've cared.

Caroline was, to say the least, surprised that anyone had managed to hug anyone at all, let alone that it had been initiated by a Slytherin. She watched as Audrey managed to jump out of her chair and take the Armsworth boy with her, the both of them nearly falling over and taking their desk and all things on it with them. She jumped off her desk where she had been sitting, throwing a hand over her mouth in shock that they might have hurt themselves. They were seemingly alright thought, judging by the comment of enjoyment from the older Slytherin. She smiled happily, enthralled that the hardest to reach had been the first to jump to it. She frowned slightly as she tried to figure out the strange relationships that had managed to pass in her classroom. Of all the people, Victoria should have been the one hugging Brody, right?
Professor Leigh giggled excitedly as Rosaline spoke, glad that a Gryffindor had chosen to join in on the fun. She smiled her agreement at her words, though was slightly worried how Miss Burchill would take to the idea of hugging her back. At first it seemed tense and she felt slightly sorry for being in such a situation, but as time passed, Victoria returned the hug. It seemed as though a few words were spoken, but she couldn't make them out from where she stood. Victoria quickly returned to her seat and Caroline had saved her biggest smile for her. Benjamin had hugged Corie, a cute couple if she did say so herself.
She didn't see any other signs of life in the classroom, but what happened next was well beyond anything she expected. Judging by the display given earlier it wouldn't have been unreasonable to say Audrey Averill and Lloyd Doom would be having little to nothing to do with one another. When Audrey made her way toward the back of the classroom Caroline had drawn her wand, half expecting her to smack him or something else of the sort. It fell terribly short and she knew her mouth had half fallen open at the display. "But I thought.." She looked from Brody to Audrey then to Brody again and stopping on Victoria. "Of course. He did it to make you jealous.." She said half under her breath. Why else would Brody have hugged Audrey and not Victoria, that made perfect sense.
She smiled at her own ability to put two and two together, and put her attention back on Lloyd and Audrey who had taken to kissing. She closed her mouth and bounced excitedly at the words she knew the room had heard from the two. It was a bit odd, I mean they were in class, but at the same time there was an odd sense of not needing to stop any sort of love. She waited for a minute until Audrey had placed herself in the chair beside of Mr. Doom, finally realizing she was still in class, before speaking. "Aww, how adorable a gesture! I just knew we were all going to have so much fun together this year!"
Caroline Leigh looked around for any sense of the time and found herself in a panic. "Oh, uhm. Well lets see. We haven't really addressed what Ancient Runes are yet, and there are two more students waiting to introduce themselves." She looked over Corie and Anna with a smile. "I suppose, unless the two of you are just dying to tell the class about yourselves, you may turn in a short paragraph to me along with your homework, telling about yourselves.. For extra credit of course! Any of you who feels the need to, may!" She sat back down at her desk and yawned a little. It certainly had been a tough day. "Well, I think thats quite enough. For your homework I simply request that you turn in (Owl me) what your answer to my question on the board was. Along with that paragraph for those seeking extra credit, and well, I'll see you all again soon!" Caroline offered them all a final smile, as she waited to collect papers, and get the long process of grading over with.
