Welcome to Hogwarts: Continuing Through the Ages!

Our site currently takes place nineteen years after the original Harry Potter stories have come to a close. Though we are slightly AU, as we have a new Headmistress in place, and strangely enough she came recommended in a letter left by none other than Albus Dumbledore! How could this be?

But that's not all, whispers of a New Dark Lord are already on the rise. Who could this new menace be and what times are ahead? Will they be as dark as before or even darker still? One thing we know is that Hogwarts will always stand!

So do clan reps have to be adults? Or just the people in charge of the ministry group over the vampires? I like keeping it from the school grounds, and allowing homes to be used =] I couldn't see teachers letting hunting going on it teh grounds, at all.

My 2 cents, as neither a Vampire or a Hunter (friend to some vamps, indifferent to others), is:

I agree that hunting on school grounds should be off limits. Seeing as our Deputy Head Mistress and some esteemed professors are vampires, I think it is a little strange that members of the staff would want to hunt them.

If your character has some blind hatred for Vampires and wants to hunt down someone that can easily make them into lunch, great, I'll have fun watching. But...we are in HP world here, so I would like to remind everyone thinking about becoming a Hunter that Vampires are classed as beings, not beasts, by the Ministry of Magic. They have rights, and are not considered a threat to the wizarding world by most wizards, though some Ministry Officials may disagree. Officially, killing a Vampire is committing a murder, so know what you are getting into, it's not the same as killing a beast like one of those awful mermaids or something (grrrrr, mermaids!).

So, if it makes sense for your character to hunt a vamp, jolly good fun. If it makes no sense, well, it could be confusing for already established plots, yada, yada, yada.

I agree with what Morgana said. We need to be careful how many hunters we have. Personally, I believe it should be a small group outside the school who cling to the old idea that Vampires are beasts and thus do not see their actions as murder. I agree the school should be off limits since the point of allowing multiple characters is so that we can keep the school a school, and have all the major conflicts with adult characters. That being said, I don't mind us having vampire students and all, I just think we should keep the hunters and hunting outside the school.
That's just my thoughts.

Ack, I feel weird jumping in all late but I gotta say... I agree with Ser. As a professor and Head of House (that feels weird to say from this account...) I just don't think it would blow over well if some of the other school staff members were... well, vampire hunters. While in reality... there may be at least one... if the site allows one, several are going to follow suit. And with a great portion of the staff- and students- being vampires... that would not blow over well at all. And, sure, they could hunt the ones that endanger the students... but, if you think about it... I hate to be so bold, but some of the vampires at the school do endanger the students, in theory. Not saying any names. You know who you are. XD *points to random student vampires and coughs* It just wouldn't make sense if a professor were hunting his co-workers. ._.; Imagine the things they'd talk about while in the Great Hall. *cough*
